On July 26, 2023, the Son La Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee held its 19th meeting. Comrade Luong Thi Van Anh, member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee chaired the meeting. At the meeting, a number of contents were considered and concluded within its authority, specifically:
1. Review, conclude, and discipline 2 party members of the Party Committee of the State Reserve Department in the Northwest region: With the responsibility of the head and deputy head of the Party Committee, agency, and unit, you have not strictly implemented Regulation No. 37-QD/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on things that party members are not allowed to do; regulations of the Law on Anti-Corruption; lack of inspection and supervision of the performance of duties of cadres, civil servants, and units under your management, allowing serious violations of the law to occur; 08 cadres and civil servants were handled according to the law, causing damage to the State budget.
Based on the content, nature and level of the Party member's violation, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee voted unanimously to discipline comrade Nguyen Nhat Thai, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the State Reserve Department of the Northwest region with a warning; comrade Hoang Minh Truc, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, specialist of the Finance - Accounting Department, former Deputy Director of the State Reserve Department of the Northwest region with a reprimand.
2. Regarding the review of the results of the 2023 income and asset declaration inspection (phase 1) for 4 comrades: Member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Director of the Provincial People's Procuracy; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance; Party Committee member, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction.
The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission found that: The inspected party members basically ensured the initial and annual declaration of assets and income according to the regulations of the Party and the State. Besides the advantages, there are still some shortcomings in the declaration process. The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requested party members to proactively overcome these shortcomings in declaring assets and income in 2023 according to the regulations.
