This event also marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Da Nang Tourism Association (2004-2024).

The 4th Congress of the Da Nang City Tourism Association, term 2024-2029 took place on the afternoon of October 17.

According to the leader of the Da Nang Tourism Association, in the context of the fluctuating tourism market, to maintain its attractiveness and growth, Da Nang city needs to improve the experience for tourists and develop appropriate strategies.

"Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024" is an important opportunity for domestic and foreign tourism businesses to share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities to build a sustainable development future for the city's tourism industry.

Within the framework of the program, many important events will take place such as: The 4th Congress of Da Nang City Tourism Association, term 2024-2029; Workshop on Smart Tourism; welcoming Famtrip delegations from within and outside the country; large-scale business connection space...

The event was attended by leaders of the National Tourism Administration, leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Vietnam Tourism Association, and more than 300 buyers from many countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and more than 600 domestic tourism businesses with 80 exhibition booths.

In particular, the event will elect a new Executive Board with the participation of representatives from major corporations operating in the tourism, hotel and entertainment sectors in Da Nang. The Congress program as well as the orientation for the new term will focus on dynamic youth, strategic cooperation, sustainable development, application of innovative technology and artificial intelligence in management, aiming to increase revenue and visitor sources, towards the common goal of developing Da Nang into a national symbol of innovation, a must-visit tourist city.

Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, shared that "Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024" is one of the efforts to build Da Nang into a center for information, exchange and sharing of updated knowledge and trends in the tourism and service industry.

"We are very pleased to receive support from the City Party Committee, People's Committee, Department of Tourism and other departments of Da Nang City, as well as encouragement for the program to become an annual event, creating a more professional playground for the tourism and hotel business community," said Mr. Dung.

The Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association emphasized that the event creates an opportunity for international buyers to meet with local tourism product and service suppliers. Many domestic and foreign partners return to the event every year, with new information as well as comments and assessments for Da Nang city. This is a good opportunity for the city to listen to customers' opinions on the expectations and needs of tourists, especially understanding the "bottlenecks" and concerns in the operation of domestic and international tourism and service. Thereby, contributing to building Da Nang into an increasingly friendly destination for tourists and an ideal city for investment and exploitation by domestic and foreign tourism and service businesses.
