John Cockerill and The Green Solutions sign green energy partnership

Accordingly, within the framework of the State visit to Vietnam of the High-ranking Delegation of the Kingdom of Belgium from March 30 to April 4, John Cockerill Group and The Green Solutions Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The content of the MOU is to select John Cockerill Group as the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplier of alkaline electrolysis equipment as well as to operate and maintain electrolysis equipment of the green hydrogen and ammonia production project in Tra Vinh and Ben Tre provinces of The Green Solutions Company.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there were Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long; representatives of the Department of Oil, Gas and Coal, Office of the Ministry.

On the side of the High-level Delegation of the Kingdom of Belgium, there were representatives of the President of the Walloon Region, Brussels, Flanders; Ministers of the Walloon-Brussels Federation; Trade and Investment Counselor of the Belgian Embassy; representatives of the leadership of John Cockerill Group and The Green Solutions Company.

2023 marks an important milestone, the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium. The cooperative and friendly relations between Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium have achieved many good development achievements, demonstrated through many high-level delegation exchanges that have taken place regularly between the two sides in recent times and in the coming time, contributing to bringing the relationship between the two countries to a new stage of development, going deeper, more substantive, and more effective, especially in trade and investment. At the same time, affirming the importance of the role and position of Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific region.

The signing of the MOU on cooperation in the field of green hydrogen and ammonia between John Cockerill Group and The Green Solutions Company is an event marking an important step forward in the strategic cooperation relationship between businesses of the two countries. At the same time, it affirms Vietnam's efforts in energy transition, developing clean energy sources, towards the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
