On July 10-11, Simacai district organized a defense zone exercise (KVPT) in 2024. Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee directed the exercise.
The 2024 Simacai District Defense Area Exercise consists of 2 parts: operating the mechanism, live combat, and 3 training phases. Phase 1: Moving the district's armed forces into combat readiness states, moving the locality into defense states, including 2 training issues. Phase 2: Organizing defense combat preparations, including 2 training issues. Phase 3: Practicing defense operations.

The Simacai district defense area exercise ensured absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment, and was rated Excellent by the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee, with 9.6 points.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Si Ma Cai district awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 collectives and 89 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the task of practicing the defense area of Si Ma Cai district in 2024.
