Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province meets new rural standards

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision 968/QD-TTg dated August 18, 2023 recognizing Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province as meeting new rural standards in 2022.

The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province is responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directing the People's Committee of Kim Son district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* As the only district in Ninh Binh with sea, large area, and large population, after more than 12 years of implementing new rural construction, thanks to the participation of the entire political system with high determination, flexible and appropriate policies, along with the proactive and active participation of the people; Kim Son has completed the conditions for consideration and recognition of the district meeting new rural standards for the period 2021 - 2025.

Up to now, 23/23 communes of Kim Son district have met new rural standards, 4 communes have met advanced new rural standards, 1 commune has met model new rural standards; 33 villages and hamlets have met model new rural residential area standards; 2/2 towns have met civilized urban standards.

The total capital mobilized since the program's implementation to date is over 7,000 billion VND, of which: State budget capital is over 3,600 billion VND; capital contributed by the community is over 2,100 billion VND.

Kim Son has exploited and promoted to the maximum the potentials and comparative advantages of the locality to promote the development of marine economy, industry - handicrafts, service sector, is the leading locality in agricultural and fishery economic development, is the rice granary of Ninh Binh province.

By the end of 2022, the average income of the whole district will reach 57.2 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate according to the poverty standard for the period 2021-2025 will decrease to 1.24%. The rate of people satisfied with the results of new rural construction will reach 99.53%.
