Mobilizing over 300 people to participate in forest fire fighting

Immediately after receiving the news, the City leaders directed the City Forest Protection Department, the City Military Command to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department; the Mobile Police Department of Son La Provincial Police, along with the authorities and people of the villages of Chieng An and Chieng Xom wards to participate in fire fighting.

300 people deployed many measures to control the fire, contain the fire and create firebreaks. The rugged terrain and high risk of falling rocks made it very difficult to approach the fires to fight them.

City leaders and commanders of units present at the scene directly directed the fire fighting work.

At about 6:30 p.m. the fire spread to neighboring areas, with a high risk of falling rocks.

The strong wind spread the fire.

By 7 p.m. the same day, the fire brigade had deployed many fire prevention measures. Combined with the pouring rain, the fire was brought under control. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Fire police and rescue forces approached the fire.

It was dark so the forces had to use flashlights to approach the fire.
