The Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province requested the Department of Culture and Sports and the People's Committees of districts and cities to continue organizing commune-level sports festivals for communes, wards and towns that have plans and have completed preparations for organizing sports festivals in March 2025.
Temporarily suspend the organization of commune-level sports festivals for communes, wards and towns that plan to organize sports festivals starting from April 2025.
Stop all preparations for organizing district-level sports festivals. At the same time, temporarily stop preparations for organizing the 10th Kien Giang Provincial Sports Festival in 2025-2026 for sports events planned to be held in 2025.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to develop plans and provide guidance on organizing sports and physical training festivals at the commune and provincial levels immediately after the communes, wards, towns and provinces and cities complete the merger of administrative units under the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Time to complete organizing sports congresses at all levels by the end of May 2026.
