For many years, Nam Ha Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative, Tam Thang Commune, Cu Jut District has been known as a unit that gathers farmers to grow gac fruit and supply products to the domestic market.
Nam Ha Cooperative has now developed the largest raw gac area in the Central Highlands with 200 households growing over 180 hectares. The gac area is concentrated in the districts of Cu Jut, Dak Mil, Krong No and some districts of Dak Lak province.
In the past 8 years, Nam Ha Cooperative has focused on exporting products and has initially achieved certain successes. Nam Ha Cooperative mainly exports gac membrane to the Korean and Taiwanese markets.

On average, each hectare of gac fruit yields about 25-30 tons of fruit per year, making a profit. Since the beginning of the year, about 24 tons of frozen gac membrane have been exported. Exported through intermediaries in Hanoi.
Mr. Tran Van Dinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam Ha Cooperative shared: "Although it is not yet the harvest season, we have exported gac quite smoothly.
In just the first 3 months of the year, the cooperative, in collaboration with partners in Hanoi, exported over 24 tons of frozen gac membrane to South Korea and Taiwan. Currently, the cooperative’s gac membrane export market is developing well.”
With an average yield of over 20 tons of fruit per year, households with good care can achieve around 30 tons. After deducting the cost of growing gac fruit each year of about 40 - 60 million VND, gac growers earn a profit of about 150 million VND/ha/year.
In 2024, Hoang Nguyen Organic Agriculture, Trade and Service Cooperative in Thuan Ha commune, Dak Song district will produce about 800 tons of pepper, 100 tons of coffee, 40 tons of avocado, 50 tons of durian with revenue of about 80 billion VND.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu, Director of Hoang Nguyen Cooperative, shared that Dak Nong has many advantages in producing high-quality agricultural products to supply to the world such as coffee, pepper, and fruits. Therefore, diversifying organic agricultural products for export is the development orientation of the Cooperative.

Hoang Nguyen Cooperative in Thuan Ha Commune, Dak Song District is one of the leading cooperatives exporting organic pepper from Dak Nong to Europe and other countries around the world.
“Initially, we focused on developing organic pepper according to European, American and Japanese standards. But over the past 3 years, we have expanded to other products to exploit the potential and strengths of the land and climate of the region, thereby diversifying products and increasing product value and economic value for farmers,” Ms. Thu shared.
Tia Sang Cooperative in Nghia Duc Ward, Gia Nghia City is promoting fruit exports. In 2024, Tia Sang Cooperative will export over 300 tons of durian, jackfruit, and passion fruit to Korea.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Phuong, Director of Tia Sang Cooperative, shared: "Korean specialized agencies and agricultural product importing enterprises pay special attention to protecting the health of consumers. Products entering the Korean market must undergo strict assessment standards on food safety quality. Therefore, in the past 5 years, we have invested billions of VND in building factories, machinery, and equipment to meet the standards for exporting products to Korea."

Dak Nong currently has 259 cooperatives operating in the agricultural and forestry sectors. The main export products of the cooperatives are: coffee, pepper, macadamia, sachi, passion fruit and gac products.
According to Dak Nong Cooperative Alliance, the main export markets are European countries, China, Korea and Taiwan... with direct export value of over 3 million USD/year.
Mr. Nguyen Khai, Chairman of Dak Nong Cooperative Union, assessed: Agricultural product export activities of cooperatives are increasingly expanding, developing and achieving good results.
Initially, cooperatives have formed concentrated raw material areas, increasing added value for the agricultural product value chain.
Cooperatives have gradually focused on digital transformation, bringing high-tech scientific and technical advances into production and applying Organic, GlobalGAP, VietGAP standards... for export, gradually affirming their reputation and brand in the international market.
