In 2024, our province was assigned to select 1,223 young men to join the army, of which 1,000 soldiers were assigned to the following units: Division 370 of the Air Defense - Air Force; Brigade 957 of Naval Region 4; Water Special Forces Brigade 5; Infantry Division 2 (Military Region 5); Provincial Border Guard; Infantry Regiment 896 (Provincial Military Command) and 223 soldiers were assigned to the Provincial Police. In order for the selection and calling of citizens to join the army to be implemented effectively, the Military Service Council at 2 levels in the province has conducted inspections, reviews, made lists and organized the review of political and policy capabilities in accordance with regulations; in which, the two core sectors, the military and the police, have coordinated to review and classify capabilities closely, ensuring accuracy and not missing any capabilities. Up to now, districts and cities have proactively coordinated with military units to reach an agreement on time, list, file delivery, military number finalization and issuance of citizen enlistment orders in accordance with regulations. Specifically, for military units, the province has issued 1,043 youths (43 reserve), including 4 party members and 40 youths with university, college and vocational secondary education. For military units, 236 youths have been issued (13 reserve), including 2 party members and 42 youths with college and university degrees.

In order for the military service in 2024 to meet the targets and quality, the Provincial Military Service Council requests departments, branches, sectors, unions, districts and cities to focus on propaganda and mobilization work to encourage recruited citizens, their families and people to comply with the Law on Military Service, the Law on People's Public Security and related legal documents. Members of the Military Service Council at district and commune levels assigned to be in charge of the area regularly grasp the situation of movement and changes of citizens who have received military service orders and promptly report to the standing agencies at all levels when situations arise to promptly handle them to avoid being passive and surprised. Focus on military rear policy work, encourage and visit families with children preparing to join the army and encounter difficulties; promptly commend, reward and encourage typical collectives, families, individuals and young people in complying with the Law on Military Service and the Law on People's Public Security. Develop a plan to organize the handover and reception of soldiers and the participants of the handover and reception ceremony in accordance with regulations and solemnity. At the same time, closely coordinate with forces to maintain security, order and traffic safety, determined to ensure that the handover and reception ceremony in 7 districts and cities in the province takes place on February 25 safely, quickly, in accordance with regulations and ensuring quality and targets assigned by the Government.
