On June 29, the Management Board of specialized transport projects of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that the project to upgrade and expand the Ba Ria - Chau Pha - Hac Dich route (DT 995B) has a total investment of more than 1,450 billion VND, expected to be implemented in July 2024.
The upgraded and expanded Highway 995B project passing through Phu My Town and Ba Ria City requires land acquisition from more than 2,400 households.
Highway 995B is currently overloaded.
This project has a total route length of about 18.5 km divided into 3 sections. Section 1 is more than 3.9 km long, designed with 6 lanes, 39 m wide cross-section; Section 2 is more than 9 km long, designed with 4 lanes, 30 m wide cross-section; Section 3 is more than 5.3 km long, designed with 6 lanes, 34 m wide cross-section.
According to the plan, the DT 995B project is invested in upgrading the entire route to a scale of 6 car lanes in the period 2031 - 2050. Thus, section 2 of this route needs to be upgraded to 6 lanes to comply with the plan.
