Vietjet Aviation Academy joins IATA training network

Vietjet signed a cooperation agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), providing training courses and programs according to international standards.

The signing ceremony took place in Hanoi on September 21. Accordingly, Vietjet Aviation Academy will provide internationally recognized training courses and programs that are regularly updated with new regulations, standards and the rapidly changing needs of the aviation industry.

Mr. Philip Goh - Vice President of IATA Asia-Pacific said that the cooperation with Vietjet Aviation Academy to provide training courses in Vietnam helps to meet the demand for trained human resources, which is the key to recovery for the aviation industry after the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Luong The Phuc - Deputy General Director of Vietjet - Chairman of Vietjet Aviation Academy said that human resources are always the focus in all development plans of Vietjet and the aviation industry in general.

"At Vietjet Aviation Academy, we provide our students with the best learning environment, where they can access IATA courses, receive IATA international certificates with modern equipment in the aviation field," Mr. Phuc added.

Vietjet Aviation Academy is a modern training and research facility. The institute currently owns three simulated cockpits (SIMs) for pilot training, aircraft simulation models, passenger cabins, aircraft engines, technical equipment, functional training rooms, Olympic-standard wave pool, stadium, engineer training center... to meet the training programs for pilots, flight attendants, flight dispatchers, engineers, and international-standard aviation staff.

Vietjet Aviation Academy not only meets the training and human resource development needs of Vietjet but also the regional and global aviation industry. To date, the Academy has trained nearly 395,000 pilots, flight attendants, engineers, staff, etc.
