Specifically, the student holiday will start from Wednesday, April 30 to Sunday, May 4.

The holiday schedule applies to all students from preschool to high school nationwide.

However, in the case of having a separate school year plan, some localities or schools may adjust the holiday time to suit the actual teaching and learning.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested the Departments of Education and Training to proactively guide schools to develop reasonable make-up study plans, ensuring the completion of the school year program on schedule.

In Ho Chi Minh City, it is recorded that there are schools that give students 6 days off after finishing the second semester exam.

This is the second-longest break for students in the 2024-2025 school year, after the Lunar New Year. Many families can plan trips or vacations, while also creating conditions for students, especially seniors, to recharge before entering the "sprint" period.

This year, April 30 falls on Wednesday, while International Labor Day falls on Thursday, which is an official holiday according to the Labor Law. According to the workday swap plan, students and teachers will have an additional Friday off on May 2 (make up for it on Saturday, April 26).

The next two days, 3 and 4-5 are Saturday and Sunday, students have the day off as usual, ending the 5-day holiday.
