Hoang Dong celebrates 70th anniversary of the founding of the Commune Party Committee

On the morning of April 14, the Party Committee of Hoang Dong commune (Hoang Hoa) held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Party Committee of the commune (April 14, 1954 - April 14, 2024).

70 years ago, on April 14, 1954, the Hoang Dong Commune Party Cell was established and held its first Congress. The Party Cell Committee consisted of 9 comrades, and comrade Nguyen Xuan Boi was elected as Secretary. The Party Cell had 2 brothers, Truong Khac Can and Truong Khac Khoan, who were 2 of the first 3 Party members of the first Communist Party Cell in Hoang Hoa District.

Immediately after its establishment, the Party Cell identified its core tasks as nurturing elite revolutionary masses, strengthening the Party's forces, participating in building a strong government and mass organizations, building armed forces, and promptly providing human and material resources to serve the frontline...

Over the past 70 years of establishment and development, the Party Committee of Hoang Dong commune has continuously grown, leading cadres, party members and people to successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, building a strong Party and political system, and constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people. The annual socio-economic goals are all achieved, many targets exceed the plan. In 2013, Hoang Dong was honored to be the first commune of Hoang Hoa district to meet the new rural standards; in 2020, it was one of the first two communes of the district to reach the advanced new rural commune finish line.

During the 2020-2025 term, the local socio-economic situation has had many new developments. The average economic growth rate over the past 3 years has reached 16.2%. The average income per capita over the years has reached 72.4 million VND/year. The average poverty rate in 2023 has decreased to 1.3%. Political security has been maintained, social order and safety have been ensured. Currently, the whole commune has 3/5 villages recognized by the District People's Committee as meeting the standards of a model new rural village. The commune is striving to reach the goal of a model new rural commune in 2024.

With the achievements, the Party Committee and People of Hoang Dong commune have been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and State: Third-class Labor Medal, Second-class Labor Medal; and many emulation flags, certificates of merit and commendation certificates have been awarded by the province and district.

The 70th anniversary of the Party's founding is an opportunity for cadres, party members and people of Hoang Dong commune to review the journey of construction and development, draw lessons and experiences, and be determined to fulfill the goals and tasks in the coming years.
