Fire in Vinh Hiep ward, 5 houses burned down

Upon receiving the news, Vice Chairman of Rach Gia City People's Committee Ngo Viet Trung quickly arrived at the scene to direct the fire fighting. The fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue police force of Kien Giang Provincial Police, security and order forces at the grassroots level, and hundreds of people used specialized equipment to actively fight the fire.

By 6 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. According to preliminary information, 5 houses were completely burned and 2 were affected, with no casualties. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Present at the scene, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Hiep Ward Nguyen Thi Ngoan said that she had mobilized benefactors to contribute 150kg of rice as initial support for households whose houses had burned down.
