Miss Thuy Tien practices Hue accent and learns ancient gestures when transforming into a maid in "Linh Mieu" - co-starring with artist Hong Dao.
When the film started filming, Thuy Tien and artist Hong Dao arrived at the set a few days in advance, interacted with the locals, and learned about the gestures and habits of the ancient Hue people. Before each scene, she asked the extras to correct each sentence. The actors had to endure a high-intensity work schedule, with the crew often filming for 2-3 hours a day, and were also injured in some action scenes.
Thuy Tien sees the project as an opportunity to challenge herself with horror - her favorite genre. She took many acting courses, such as the class taught by artist Le Khanh in 2023, thanks to which she learned the tricks of analyzing character psychology and improvising situations. She used to feel pressured when acting in crying scenes because she was not used to expressing emotions in front of a crowd. Later, after being taught by Le Khanh, she understood how to empathize with the character, thereby mastering her emotions and crying more easily on set.
Artist Hong Dao - playing the role of Me Bich, the head of the family - said she was surprised by Thuy Tien's efforts. In the beginning, her Hue accent was not smooth, but a few weeks later, when she met her again, she was surprised by her junior's progress.
