Support and promote startups in the province

DTO - Continuing to effectively implement the plans of the Provincial People's Committee on innovative startups in Dong Thap province for the period 2021 - 2025, on business development and startup promotion in Dong Thap province for the period 2021 - 2025, the Provincial People's Committee identifies specific goals for supporting and promoting startups in the province in 2025.

Of which, develop at least 720 enterprises, focusing on developing enterprises from start-up projects and business households. Train, educate, and improve capacity for more than 1,500 people on starting a business, business administration, innovation, application of science and technology, digital transformation, circular economy, green economy. Have at least 60 new products participating in the evaluation and classification of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program; have at least 40 3-star products, 20 4-star products and support at least 05 potential 5-star products to complete the dossier to request the Central Government to evaluate and recognize national OCOP products.

Support the incubation and development of at least 10 innovative startups; accompany and support over 70 startup ideas and projects. Organize over 5 activities/events connecting the startup community with a team of experts, advisors, technology support partners and investors; support startup ideas and projects to participate in regional, national and international startup competitions.

Support the completion of at least 2 solutions for non-professional creative subjects according to Resolution No. 10/2024/NQ-HDND dated July 1, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council. Complete and put into operation the Startup and Innovation Space of Dong Thap province.

To achieve the above objectives, all levels, sectors and localities in the province must promote communication, encourage entrepreneurial spirit, promote the development of startups; create a favorable investment and business environment for business development and promote startups; develop human resources, improve capacity for potential startup projects and businesses. Support businesses and startups to develop products; apply technology, promote trade, expand markets and access capital. Improve capacity for startup support organizations, consulting teams and connect startup communities; develop infrastructure to serve startup activities... Strive to make Dong Thap province a leading locality in attracting and developing the startup community in the Mekong Delta region.
