In recent times, the Women's Union of Ha Tinh province has carried out many practical activities to support cooperatives and cooperative groups with women participating in management. According to Ms. Truong Thi Luong, Vice President of the Women's Union of Ha Tinh province, this is necessary to enhance women's power in the economic field and build happy and sustainable families.
Reporter: Currently, in Ha Tinh province, there are many cooperative groups (THT) and cooperatives with women participating in management. What support have the provincial Unions provided to cooperatives and THTs?
Ms. Truong Thi Luong: Supporting the establishment of cooperatives and unions with women participating in management is one of the key tasks, contributing to enhancing women's economic power and building happy and sustainable families.
With that goal, we focus on some key solutions such as: Promoting communication activities, promoting products owned by women on radio, television, website, fangage.
In addition, the Association also organizes training courses to improve the capacity of the Board of Directors and members of cooperatives and cooperative groups with many practical contents such as: Skills in applying information technology in production and business, building and registering VietGap brands/standards; online sales, marketing; management and operation capacity, support in accessing capital sources; registering VietGap/OCOP brands/standards; applying information technology in production, promotion and connecting product consumption...
Reporter: For cooperatives managed by women with products that have achieved OCOP certification, what specific support have the Associations at all levels provided, madam?
Ms. Truong Thi Luong : The Women's Union of Ha Tinh province identified that supporting members in building OCOP products is one of the key tasks to effectively implement the Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period 2017-2025" and the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers by 2030" (Project 01 - PV).
Ms. Truong Thi Luong, Vice President of Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Union
Under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Ha Tinh province, the Women's Union at all levels has mobilized and accompanied women in the stages and processes of building OCOP standard products such as:
Facilitate access to preferential capital sources, organize and coordinate the implementation of many training courses to improve knowledge and how to build a standard brand; at the same time, implement many programs:
Startup festival, displaying and promoting OCOP products owned by women, connecting with businesses, stores, supermarkets to help members with OCOP products expand their product consumption market...
Thereby, creating motivation for women to feel secure and strive to maintain and develop successfully built products.
PV: In your opinion, in order for cooperatives and unions with women to participate in management to develop further, what activities need to be promoted by the provincial Unions at all levels? What do the cooperatives and unions themselves need to do?
Ms. Truong Thi Luong : I think that, to better implement Project 01, the Women's Union at all levels needs to consult and ask for direction from Party committees, and strengthen coordination with the government, departments and branches in the process of implementing activities.
Besides, it is necessary to promote propaganda work to raise awareness of cadres and women's union members about the importance of collective economic development and the policies of the Party and State.
Associations at all levels from central to local levels need to advise on expanding the scope of activities and beneficiaries so that more and more people can access and benefit from policies, ensuring resources to develop cooperatives and unions in a sustainable manner.
In particular, the issue of capital access needs support and guidance from many departments and sectors to create a basis for cooperatives and cooperative groups managed and operated by women to have the opportunity to expand production scale and create more jobs for workers.
In addition, the Association also needs to research and expand the connection between supply and demand, promote, introduce and use OCOP certified products for women in particular and other products in general, to create opportunities for women to access the market, opening up many new directions for development.
Cooperatives and cooperative groups need to proactively mobilize resources, coordinate with sectors to organize activities to improve production capacity and competitiveness of cooperative groups and cooperatives with women participating in management; take advantage of advice and technical support from experts, start-up and innovation organizations.
In particular, we need to promote the role of the Women's Union at all levels in supporting women's start-ups; organize events and forums for exchange and promptly discover and honor typical women in economic development.
PV: Thank you!
