TPO - Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue, Principal of Anh Duong Kindergarten (Ngai Giao town, Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) has submitted a resignation letter due to the scandal of the teachers' rice having only 2 pieces of ham. In the letter, Ms. Hue admitted that there were shortcomings in management and operations that caused internal disunity at Anh Duong Kindergarten.
On October 19, information from the Department of Education and Training of Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue, Principal of Anh Duong Kindergarten (Ngai Giao town), had submitted a resignation letter. Anh Duong Kindergarten has been involved in many scandals in recent times, related to the incident of teachers' meals having only 2 pieces of ham.
Ms. Hue signed an application on October 13, sent to the Chau Duc District People's Committee and the Chau Duc District Department of Education and Training to resign from work from November 1 due to poor health and continued treatment. In this application, Ms. Hue admitted that there were shortcomings in management and operations that caused internal disunity at Anh Duong Kindergarten.
According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Chau Duc district, because Ms. Hue's resignation was sent while the district inspectorate was conducting a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten, it was not processed. According to regulations, only after the inspection results are available and Ms. Hue has corrected the shortcomings as recommended by the inspectorate can the resignation be processed.
On September 19, Mr. Nguyen Tien Trung signed Decision No. 43/QD-TTr on a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten. On October 18, Chau Duc District Inspectorate organized the announcement of the inspection conclusion of Anh Duong Kindergarten. The conclusion pointed out the shortcomings at this school and recommended that the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee handle the responsibilities of Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue and related individuals.

Previously, on social networks, images and content were shared reflecting that the lunch tray costing 30,000 VND of teachers at Anh Duong Kindergarten only had rice and 2 pieces of pork roll, with a little fish sauce. Some other trays had rice and a few pieces of stir-fried meat with bamboo shoots.
The post included the following content: “After posting an article about the reduction of children’s food rations and the persecution of whistleblowers, some teachers at Anh Duong Kindergarten sent pictures of their extremely poor lunches. If workers are still so reckless, what about children aged 2-5? Please do not look at the 30,000 VND meal of workers with such indifferent eyes. Please care and understand with your compassion.”
From the above information, the Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee requested the Head of the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the District Department of Culture and Information to organize verification and clarification.
On the afternoon of September 17, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban - Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee directly had a dialogue with teachers and staff of Anh Duong Kindergarten to listen to their thoughts and wishes after the controversy over the 30,000 VND lunch.
After that, Chau Duc District People's Committee decided to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten. The inspection period is from January 2022 to September 2024. The inspection team consists of 12 people, led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huynh - Deputy Chief Inspector of Chau Duc District.
In addition, Chau Duc District People's Committee also reported the progress of handling the case after Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee requested to verify and clarify information about the food rations of teachers at Anh Duong Kindergarten.
At the 22nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held on the afternoon of October 7, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau directed that violations must be quickly clarified in the case of teachers of Anh Duong Kindergarten accusing the principal of many violations.
The Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee requested the Chau Duc District People's Committee to quickly clarify the violations and handle them strictly. We cannot wait because the principal went to the hospital. At the same time, we must ensure that the policies of the province for nurseries, kindergartens, and students reach the beneficiaries. We cannot be irresponsible and bend the policies of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province because of personal relationships.
