Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh - Secretary of Hiep Duc District Party Committee said that the total production value in the first 6 months of the year of the district reached 937.98 billion VND, economic growth rate reached 4.62%; economic structure shifted positively; economic revenue generated in the district by July 30 reached 52.5 billion VND (reaching 49.7% of the estimate assigned by the province).
Up to now, the whole district has 13 OCOP products recognized as meeting 3-star standards; the planted forest area has reached 20,296 hectares; the average new rural criteria of the whole district has reached 14.3 criteria/commune.
The district has 7 industrial clusters that have been invested in with 8 operating enterprises, attracting about 1,000 workers. The rate of disbursement of public investment capital as of July 30 reached 32.3%, of which the disbursement of national target program capital reached 20.31%...
Secretary of Hiep Duc District Party Committee Nguyen Van Tinh said that in order for Tan Binh urban area to meet the standards of a type V urban area by 2025, the province should agree on the policy of annually allocating a separate source of funding (in addition to the centralized basic construction source) to invest in developing the infrastructure of Tan Binh town; in which, it is necessary to invest in a clean water system in the town to ensure water sources for the people.
At the same time, it is recommended that the province consider investing in upgrading and expanding the main road in Viet An city, 4.8km long, 37m wide according to the plan, with an estimated total investment of 240 billion VND, to gradually complete the infrastructure in the East of the district.
Investing in upgrading to grade IV road standards for 2 routes DT.615 extension and DT.615B through Hiep Duc district; DH10.HD route (Na Son - Dong Binh); the route from the district center to Tra Linh bridge to the border with Truong Son Dong road; embankment to prevent landslides on Thu Bon river in Tan Binh town.
The district also proposed to invest in building a district administrative center of about 30 hectares including the office building, surrounding residential area..., with an estimated total investment of 300 billion VND; the administrative area alone is about 5 hectares with a total investment of 100 billion VND...
Find the motivation to make a breakthrough
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu said that the driving force for Hiep Duc's development is mainly gardening and livestock farming. Therefore, the district needs to make the most of resources, policies, and major projects of the province and the central government to promote and implement.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh, if the district wants to rely on garden and forestry economy, it needs to pay attention to planning, arrangement and layout; in livestock farming, it is necessary to thoroughly study environmental pollution.
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet welcomed and highly appreciated the results the district has achieved in various fields, and at the same time suggested that the district needs to have solutions to implement some targets of the term that have been low so far such as average income per capita, economic proportion, new rural areas, large timber plantation, etc.
Orienting and suggesting some tasks for the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary said that the Standing Committee of Hiep Duc District Party Committee needs to focus on research, even invite experts and experienced people to conduct in-depth research and find new development drivers for the district.

Why do many localities with similar characteristics have such large revenue sources?
