On June 23, at Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Le Mon Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa City), the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks (KTNNS & CKCN) in the province coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross to organize the program "Humanitarian blood donation among workers". Attending the program was comrade Nguyen Minh Canh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.
Leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Industrial Zones and Industrial Zones Trade Union, and Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. attended and encouraged volunteers to donate blood.
More than 400 volunteers who are employees of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. have registered to participate in voluntary blood donation.
Employees are checked for health status before donating blood.
To facilitate blood donation, the Organizing Committee has divided the time into time slots, each slot is about 30 minutes apart for employees to complete procedures such as: consultation, screening examination to ensure safety in blood donation, scanning QR code to register and participate in blood donation.
Blood donation among workers is an annual activity organized by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Industrial Zones and Industrial Zones Trade Union to mobilize union members and workers with good health to actively respond and participate in voluntary blood donation to provide enough blood for emergency and patient treatment.
Through the Humanitarian Blood Donation Program among Workers, the Standing Committee of the Industrial Zones and Industrial Zones Trade Union hopes that its affiliated grassroots trade unions will actively coordinate with business leaders to carry out humanitarian blood donation activities with the spirit of "A drop of blood given - A life saved".
