One UI 7 is the next major software update from the South Korean company. It is an update that comes with a redesign of Samsung's interface on Android. According to recent leaks, the update will feature an improved Quick Settings panel separate from the notification bar, rounder corners in the user interface, new icons for Samsung apps.
Recently, there is information that the first test version of One UI 7 will appear this month, along with some key features of this user interface being revealed.
Leaker Ice Universe shared some of the features of One UI 7.0 on Weibo. Accordingly, the next version of One UI will have new app icons, new wallpapers, and an improved control area at the bottom of the lock screen. Shortcuts on the lock screen now have larger icons.
The source also said that the notification area and quick settings panel can be merged if users want. One UI 7.0 will have a pill-shaped animation that can show ongoing activities from more apps, along with a new animation when unlocking the device's screen.
Samsung is said to have added user-interruptable animations and has also improved app opening and closing animations.
Ice Universe also revealed that One UI 7.0 supports sending and receiving SMS over 5G networks and also has new animations for notification pop-ups and closing animations.
