Fujifilm recently posted on its official Facebook page, announcing the listed prices for a series of products. Dozens of camera and lens lines from the Japanese brand have increased in price by 1-2 million VND. This is a significant increase compared to the previous listed price.
“To adapt to the general changes in the global market, Fujifilm Vietnam would like to announce the adjustment of retail prices of some camera and lens products, effective from April 10,” the camera company wrote in the announcement.
For example, the X-T50 series increased from 35 million to 36 million VND. The newly launched X-M5 product also increased to 23 million VND. Previously, it was listed at 22 million VND. The company's high-end 100-400 mm lens line also increased in price by 2.2 million VND, to 47 million VND.

Just last week, the company's Japanese-made photographic film lines also increased by 22-52%, surprising many users.
In Vietnam, Fujifilm is loved for its nostalgic design and beautiful film color simulation, which helps to limit post-production work. However, the product is rarely chosen by professional photographers because of its loyalty to the crop sensor. The small sensor size makes the camera not as effective as a full-frame camera at high ISO, limiting sharpness.
Meanwhile, the GFX Medium Format line is too expensive for both the body and lens, making it difficult to access. In addition, the company's users often have to buy products at higher prices than listed. Many popular models such as the X100V and X-M5 have their prices increased by tens of millions of VND.
It is unclear whether the “change in the global market” that Fujifilm Vietnam cited is due to the recent tariffs imposed by the US and China. The company manufactures cameras in factories in Asia, with its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
The X100V was originally assembled only in the country, but not in sufficient quantities. The X100VI was later moved to China. The Philippines is also part of Fujifilm’s supply chain. The company’s US factory only makes printers and inkjet paper.
