Recently, the TEDxDAV 2023: Nexus Conference was held with meaningful sharing from guest speakers. Exploiting the topic of Nexus connection in the context of Information Technology saturation, profound perspectives and ideas were presented around 2 sharing sessions: Connecting when utilizing information technology and Connecting when escaping information technology.

The workshop was attended by 6 guest speakers: Miss Vietnam Luong Thuy Linh; CEO & Founder of The A List Do Tuan Hai; Stage artist Ho Ngoc Bao Khiem; Master of Psychology Pham Thanh Mai; Teacher of Social-Emotional Sciences Truong Ho Tan; ASEAN Volunteer Star Hoang Hoa Trung, and staff of the Student Training Management Board under the Diplomatic Academy.

Connecting while leveraging information technology

Opening Session 1 with the topic of Connecting when utilizing information technology , speaker Pham Thanh Mai gave an intuitive view of the multidimensional impact of technology on mental health with stories that are "individual" but very "common" about technological devices in today's life.

In addition to psychological issues, the TEDxDAV 2023 Conference brings to the audience new perspectives on the application of technology in approaching and promoting cultural values ​​through the sharing from speaker Do Tuan Hai with the message: "There are many different ways to experience culture and connect culture, and technology and information development help us have many different ways to experience and connect culture".

The first session ended with a sharing by speaker Hoang Hoa Trung about Utilizing digital technology in charity projects at home and abroad . With the favorite saying "Technology is a tool to connect resources to create good values ​​in society", he believes that information technology has broken many limits so that compassion can be realized through actions. According to him, sincerity and creativity along with the support of digital platforms are the keys to the success of each journey.

Connecting while disconnected from technology

With her rich experience on the journey for the community, speaker Luong Thuy Linh brought to the Workshop to share about the connection between humans and nature in many aspects, and at the same time pointed out ways to help people temporarily let go of modern technological devices and reconnect with everything around them.

Continuing the second sharing session with the topic of Connecting when leaving information technology , speaker Truong Ho Tan exploited the topic of Connecting with the body through movement . Through expressive art forms; speaker Truong Ho Tan presented views revolving around the question "Who is contemporary art for?" and provided theories on how to connect with the moving human body according to the 4 levels of SEL capacity: self-identification; self-management; social identification and building healthy relationships.

With the theme Connecting with the community through applied theater , Mr. Bao Khiem exploited new aspects of improvisational theater in helping individuals to release the burdens that still weigh on their souls, as well as to be able to freely express and share through community dialogue, while helping the audience better understand the form of improvisational theater in today's theater and forums.

Journey of spreading value

Continuing TEDx's mission of promoting dialogue, connection and community development, TEDxDAV is organized with the desire to create a forum for students of the Diplomatic Academy to express their thoughts, explore many aspects of life and have a multi-dimensional perspective on relationships in today's society.

From there, create a foundation for expanding the research movement, developing critical thinking and skills as well as honoring and developing the Academy's identity.

The speakers at the conference have deep experience in their fields, including mental health, emotional education, connecting with nature, community development, culture and society. Each participant will have their own “escape” from the digital age, to find their own “primitive connections” after the sharing.

The TEDxDAV 2023 Conference Program: Nexus has come to an end, marking the 4th season on the journey of spreading practical values ​​to the community through the sharing of speakers from the Diplomatic Academy. Through the TEDxDAV Conference, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring attendees memorable experiences, leaving behind many thoughtful ideas to create initiatives, creating positive impacts on the community in the future, on "the NEXt US" - us of the future.
