On November 26, Binh Hai Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Quang Ngai province) said that the unit had just discovered 17 plastic bags containing marijuana drifting ashore.

Previously, on November 25, while patrolling the coast of Thanh Thuy village (Binh Hai commune), the working group of Binh Hai Border Guard Station, in coordination with the commune police and the Coast Guard Region 2 force, discovered many white plastic bags scattered on the coast.

Initially, the authorities collected 17 double-layer plastic bags, measuring 30x40cm, containing objects such as dry yellow-brown leaves.

A quick test kit showed that the "dried herb" in the bags tested positive for the drug THC (marijuana).

Binh Hai Border Guard Station determined that it was possible that the "herbs" were bought and transported by sea by criminals. When the authorities discovered them, they dispersed the evidence.

The task force is expanding patrols in the surrounding area, suspecting that more drugs have drifted ashore.

In recent times, Quang Ngai residents have continuously discovered large quantities of drugs washed ashore. Last week (November 23 and 24), Binh Son residents also discovered more than 3,000 pills in plastic bags on the beach. Upon inspection, these pills tested positive for MDMA (ecstasy) and THC (marijuana).

While collecting scrap on the beach, a man discovered a plastic bag containing 1,500 white tablets, identified as ecstasy (MDMA).
