Han Ngoc Hai received a scholarship of more than 243 million VND

The program is organized by Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper (BPTV) in coordination with VNPT Binh Phuoc and the Provincial Fund for Encouragement of Learning and Talent.   The ceremony was attended by local leaders, representatives of sponsoring units, benefactors, the Board of Directors and many teachers and students of Loc Ninh High School.

Han Ngoc Hai was an excellent student throughout 12 years of schooling, and he soon nurtured the dream of studying at the University of Technical Education. However, the cost of studying was beyond his family's current financial situation.

Hai's father has severe diabetes, poor health, and has completely lost the ability to work. His mother only does seasonal work and earns only 3-4 million VND/month. In addition to Hai, the family has a younger brother who is studying in grade 10 at the same school. With no assets or land, the family has to live in a prefabricated corrugated iron house on the land of the Border Guard in Thanh Bien border hamlet, Loc Thanh commune (Loc Ninh district). The house is more than 20km from the school, so Hai has to stay at noon and eat charity meals from the school. He has to ask for clothes, school supplies, etc. from his seniors.

Immediately after the field survey, the program "Wings of Dreams" of BPTV connected and mobilized philanthropists and social organizations to join hands to award Hai a scholarship worth 243 million 535 thousand VND. The money was deposited in a savings book for the two brothers to conveniently spend during their future studies. In addition to the cash received at the connection session, through the program's bridge, some philanthropists came to Hai's family to support their livelihood, helping the family to soon stabilize their lives.

On behalf of local leaders, Mr. Vo Van Luong, Vice Chairman of Loc Ninh District People's Committee shared: True to its name "Wings of Dreams" - where dreams are lit up by a compassionate heart. The success of the program is not only for Hai, but also a source of inspiration to nurture big dreams for all poor but studious students in the province.

The ceremony to award the "Wings of Dreams" scholarship to Han Ngoc Hai took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere at Loc Ninh High School.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, former Head of the Propaganda Department of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, presented a symbolic plaque of 30 million VND from the Binh Phuoc Provincial Scholarship Fund. At the same time, she also deducted her pension of 1 million VND/month to accompany the program.

Representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Loc Ninh District joined hands to support and present Hai with a computer worth 30 million VND. Local associations and organizations also presented many valuable scholarships.

The staff, teachers, students and alumni of Loc Ninh High School mobilized to give Hai 75 million 323 thousand VND.

Organizations, individuals, teams, and volunteer groups give love and meaningful scholarships, supporting Hai's dream.

Everyone in the group was overwhelmed with happiness because they had joined hands to nurture a green seed of knowledge for their homeland and country.
