Traffic diversion plan when a series of highway projects open to traffic

Immediately after the North-South Expressway component projects were opened to traffic, the Ministry of Construction also proposed a traffic organization plan for vehicles.

The Ministry of Construction has just released a traffic organization plan for a number of North-South expressway component projects immediately after they are opened to traffic.

Specifically, on the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi route, vehicles are allowed to travel from the beginning of the project at Km479+117 to the end of the project at Km514+441 in the North - South direction and vice versa with a maximum speed of 80km/h. The project is shared with the rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang route.

On the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway, vehicles are allowed to travel from the beginning of the project at Km514+300 to the end of Km568+496 in the North - South direction and vice versa with a maximum speed of 80km/h. The rest stop located at Km534+100 in Cam Xuyen district (located on both sides of the expressway) has been cleared. The investor is implementing procedures to carry out investment, construction, and put into operation according to regulations.

On the Bung - Van Ninh expressway, vehicles are allowed to operate from Cu Nam intersection (about Km626+690.35) to QL9B intersection (about Km673+750). Rest stop is at Km651+00 (located on both sides of the expressway). The Ministry of Construction has selected an investor for the rest stop, according to regulations.

For the Van Phong - Nha Trang section project, vehicles are allowed to participate in traffic on the route at 6:00 a.m. on April 20, from Van Gia intersection (about Km299+812) to QL27C intersection (about Km368+350), connecting with the Nha Trang - Cam Lam section currently in operation. The rest stop is at Km334+900 (located on both sides of the highway). The Ministry of Construction has selected the rest stop investor according to regulations.

The Ministry of Construction also noted that the highway is only for cars, the following subjects are not allowed to participate in traffic on the highway: pedestrians, rudimentary vehicles, motorbikes, motorcycles and tractors; specialized motorbikes with a design speed of less than 90km/h are not allowed to enter the highway (except for people, vehicles and equipment serving the management and maintenance of the highway).

People, vehicles and equipment serving the management and maintenance of highways with their own badges or symbols are allowed to travel on highways (no speed limit) but must not affect or obstruct traffic on the highway.

Vehicles carrying toxic, flammable, and explosive substances on the list of dangerous goods prescribed by the Government in Decree No. 42/2020 are only allowed to circulate on highways with a permit from a competent authority.

Drivers participating in traffic on highways must comply with regulations on load, road size limits, and safety rules according to current laws.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on the groundbreaking and inauguration of key national projects and major works on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, tomorrow (April 19), 5 expressways will be opened to traffic (including: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, Bung - Van Ninh and Van Phong - Nha Trang and Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway), Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport will be inaugurated along with the closing ceremony of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge.
