Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, has announced that Halodoc, Indonesia's largest digital health technology company, has surpassed 20 million monthly active users (MAUs) and continues to collaborate with AWS to scale its operations and provide digital skills services to employees...

Running its entire infrastructure on the world's leading cloud platform since its launch in 2016, Halodoc uses a wide range of AWS services, including machine learning, security, and databases to deliver advanced healthcare services to users across Indonesia.

The company's secure platform includes 24/7 telemedicine consultations from anywhere in the country, medication delivery from over 4,900 pharmacies, a comprehensive ecosystem, and seamless access to healthcare, including recommendations that promote healthier living.

Building the platform on AWS also allows Halodoc to quickly innovate and develop new services like Home Lab, which allows users to get health checks from the comfort of their home.

Halodoc has brought together more than 3,300 hospital partners, 20,000 licensed doctors and over 28 insurance providers on its healthcare platform. With a sub-WHO ratio of just one doctor for every 1,000 patients and nearly half of its 273 million citizens living in rural areas, providing easy access to healthcare in the world’s fourth most populous country spread across 17,000 islands is a huge challenge.
