The Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized a ceremony to honor and reward 184 students with outstanding achievements in the national excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year.
On the afternoon of February 5, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a conference to commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the national excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year.
In the national excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year, Hanoi has 234 students from 10 high schools participating, an increase of 50 students compared to the previous school year. Students registered to take the exam in all 12 subjects including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, and Chinese.
12 teams from Hanoi competed with excellent performance and brought back proud results with 184 students winning prizes, including 14 first prizes, 61 second prizes, 54 third prizes and 55 consolation prizes, an increase of 43 prizes compared to the previous school year.
This is the highest result ever achieved by students in the city; for the 12th consecutive year, Hanoi continues to be the leading locality in the country in terms of national excellent student selection results. Some teams have 100% of their members winning prizes such as English, Chemistry, French. In particular, the English team won 6 first prizes, the Chemistry team won 12 first prizes, the French team won 1 first prize...
Notably, among the students who won prizes this year are students from several schools in disadvantaged areas such as Minh Quang High School (Ba Vi district), Phung Khac Khoan - Thach That High School (Thach That district)...
Recognizing and praising the students' achievements, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong affirmed that the fact that the exam had students winning prizes from public high schools in the area with many difficulties and low entrance scores proves that the city's key education work is widely spread and schools are interested and focused on it.
At the conference, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit and prizes to 23 groups and 188 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national high school student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year. Of these 188 individuals, 4 are managers of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, and the remaining 184 are students.
