The program called "New Tuong" was organized by a group of students from FPT Polytechnic College in Da Nang in collaboration with Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater.
The performance attracted more than 300 audiences, mostly young people, who came to learn and explore the traditional art form of Tuong.
Here, the audience enjoyed unique costumes, mask performances and the classic work "Hon vong phu" recreated by Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater. The event created a unique space for young audiences to learn and experience Tuong.
Nguyen Phuoc Quy Ngan (student of FPT Polytechnic College in Da Nang) shared that before, he only occasionally watched Tuong on TV. But after enjoying it live, Ngan felt the attraction of Tuong.
"To truly feel the beauty of folk art, I think you need to see it live. In my opinion, the music, the melody, and the artists' performances create the unique appeal of this art form," Ngan said.

The students who organized the program said the idea for the event came from the desire to bring the art of tuong closer to young people, while promoting the spirit of preserving traditional culture.
"This could be a big challenge before we leave the lecture hall, we hope that the program will help young people understand and love the art of Tuong", student Tran Kim Ngan (program organizer) shared.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, deputy director of Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater, expressed his joy at seeing young people interested in this art form. Mr. Phuong said that the interest of young people is a great source of motivation in developing and preserving Tuong art.
At the performance, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tan Dong (Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater) said he is always ready to share and accompany young people who want to learn more about Tuong art.
At the same time, the number of students going to the theater has increased in recent years, showing that young people are increasingly interested in the art of Tuong.
"This is a positive signal for this art form. In particular, in recent times, young people have helped spread this art form more widely," said Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tan Dong.
