“Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story” is a film adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, first published in 2016 and reprinted 20 times with 120,000 copies sold. As the title of the film, the work revolves around the friendship and love of two boys – Vinh, Phuc and a girl – Mien. All three grew up in a rural area, experiencing innocent childhoods, first love and the harshness of fate.
