Other gold brands also raised the price of SJC gold bars to VND100.2 million/tael. The difference between buying and selling prices widened to VND2 million/tael instead of VND1.5 million/tael the previous day.
The price of gold rings also increased sharply following the price of gold bars. Specifically, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed 98.6 - 100.6 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 1 million VND/tael for buying and 900,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday morning. Accordingly, the difference between buying and selling also widened to 2 million VND/tael.
Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 98.5 - 100.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling.
This morning, the world gold price was listed at 3,085 USD/ounce, the highest in history.
In the currency market, this morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,843 VND/USD, down 3 VND compared to yesterday morning.
At commercial banks, the USD price was increased by many units for buying, but decreased for selling. For example, BIDV listed it at 25,405 - 25,755 VND/USD, up 5 VND for buying and down 5 VND for selling.
Vietinbank listed the rate at 25,405 - 25,761 VND/USD, up 151 VND for buying and down 69 VND for selling. Vietcombank increased 10 VND for both buying and selling, trading at 25,370 - 25,760 VND/USD for buying and selling.
In the free market, the USD is traded at 25,860 - 25,960 VND/USD, up 25 VND for buying and 25 VND for selling.
