Early season dragon fruit, high yield, price from 15,000 VND/kg
The People's Committee of Bach Dang commune (Kinh Mon, Hai Duong) said that early-season dragon fruit yielded high yields and had better prices than the same period in 2023.
Dragon fruit productivity in Bach Dang commune, Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong province reached 3-4 quintals/sao, an increase of about 35% over the same period in 2023, the average selling price was 15,000 VND/kg, an increase of 5,000 VND/kg.

At this time, people in the localities are harvesting fragrant green squash - one of the main crops and famous specialties of Bac Kan province. While harvesting squash in their family fields, farmers in Loong Lung village, Yen Duong commune, Ba Be district could not hide their joy because this year's squash prices are quite high.
Although the output has decreased due to some areas of crops being infected with diseases at the beginning of the season, the productivity is still quite good. Thanks to the cooperative's cooperation in purchasing output products, the purchase price is quite high, the price at the beginning of the season was 20,000 VND/kg and now in the main season it is 10,000 VND/kg. The income from selling squash helps the family have a good additional income.
In the 2024 squash crop, the entire Bac Kan province will grow about 230 hectares, of which Ba Be district is the locality that grows the most with about more than 180 hectares, an increase of more than 10 hectares compared to 2023. According to Ba Be district's assessment, due to the impact of weather and disease, this year's squash yield is lower than last year. However, with the above area, the squash output of the entire district will also reach about 6,000 tons.
Jackfruit is on sale for a very low price.
With a large harvest and a large amount of goods arriving at the market, the retail price of To Nu jackfruit in Can Tho City and many provinces in the Mekong Delta has dropped sharply by nearly half compared to more than a month ago. The retail price of To Nu jackfruit grade 1 in many places is only 20,000-25,000 VND/kg, while previously it was 40,000-45,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, To Nu jackfruit is being sold in bulk by farmers in many places to traders and jackfruit purchasing warehouses at 12,000-15,000 VND/kg. The decrease in To Nu jackfruit price creates conditions for consumers to enjoy this delicious fruit.
The female jackfruit usually weighs about 1-2 kg/fruit and comes in two varieties: the traditional Vietnamese female jackfruit and the Malaysian female jackfruit. These two varieties have similar prices.

Accordingly, in the Southeast and Southwest regions, the price of selected Thai durian and Thai durian bought in bulk is fluctuating between 84,000 - 87,000 VND/kg and 64,000 - 67,000 VND/kg, respectively. At the same time, the price of selected Ri6 durian is also stable at around 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg and Ri6 durian bought in bulk is around 48,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.
At the same time, the price of selected Thai durian also remained stable in the Central Highlands at a price of 80,000 VND/kg to 82,000 VND/kg. Slightly lower, the price of Thai durian bought in bulk here is stable around 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. For the Ri6 durian group, the price of selected Ri6 durian is being applied at 58,000 - 60,000 VND/kg and Ri6 bought in bulk is being implemented at a price of 45,000 - 48,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices increased sharply
Pepper price today, June 27, 2024, in the Southeast region increased sharply by 5,000 VND/kg in some localities, trading around 150,000 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Lak province is 151,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, Dak Lak pepper price is purchased at 151,000 VND/kg. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) is currently at 150,000 VND/kg. Dak Nong pepper price today is recorded at 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today increased by 5,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it was 150,000 VND/kg; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices reached 150,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today increased sharply, trading at 150,000 VND/kg. Thus, domestic pepper prices today increased in some key localities compared to yesterday. In all localities, pepper prices are at 150,000 VND/kg or higher. The highest pepper price was recorded at 151,000 VND/kg.
At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 7,112 USD/ton, up 0.31%; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 7,500 USD/ton, up 300 USD/ton; the price of Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA at 7,500 USD/ton.
Muntok white pepper price is 9,056 USD/ton, up 0.32%; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is at 8,800 USD/ton.
Vietnam's black pepper price is trading at 7,550 USD/ton for 500 g/l, up 24.50%; 550 g/l is at 8,150 USD/ton, up 28.83%; white pepper price is at 11,550 USD/ton, up 31.60%. IPC sharply reduced pepper prices in Indonesia, sharply increased Vietnam's pepper export prices.
