Starting from February 3 (the 6th day of Tet), most markets, supermarkets, and shopping centers in Quang Tri province have resumed operations with abundant goods and relatively stable prices.

Green vegetables, tubers, and fruits are items that are sold early and are quite popular. Although the prices of these items have increased compared to normal days, they have increased less compared to the time before Tet. In particular, vegetables such as mustard greens, spinach, sweet potato leaves, and watercress have only increased slightly by 2-3 thousand VND/bunch; some tubers and fruits such as carrots, potatoes, kohlrabi, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. have almost no price fluctuations compared to the time before Tet.
For meat products such as pork, beef, duck, etc., people's purchasing power is still relatively low. According to traders, the supply of sea fish, shrimp, and other seafood is also gradually becoming more stable and abundant. Fresh fish such as snakehead fish, red tilapia, and silver pomfret have increased by about 5,000-10,000 VND/kg compared to normal days but are still chosen by many customers.
Surveys at some traditional markets in the province show that fruit prices have increased slightly compared to before Tet. Specifically, dragon fruit costs 30,000 - 35,000 VND/kg; grapefruit 35,000 - 40,000 VND/fruit; orange 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg; star apple 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg; chrysanthemums cost 60,000 - 70,000 VND/bunch; gladiolus 120,000 - 140,000 VND/10 branches...
However, due to the relaxed mentality when going to the market on the first day of the new year, customers rarely bargained. In order to ensure the market of goods and the supply of food for people during the Lunar New Year, supermarkets have also proactively opened early to stabilize the market, avoiding price hikes and shortages.
Accordingly, the WinMart+ and Co.opmart Dong Ha supermarket systems reopened from February 1 (the 4th day of Tet) and February 3 (the 6th day of Tet). Prices of goods remained quite stable before, during and after Tet. Many shelves were quickly filled with goods after the holiday and business stabilized again.
The relatively stable prices of goods are a good sign in the effective implementation of management solutions, market stabilization under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the drastic participation of all levels and sectors in strengthening market inspection and control, resolutely and strictly handling cases of speculation, hoarding, sudden price increases and violations of trading in counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods to protect the rights and health of consumers.
On the other hand, people's shopping habits have gradually changed in a positive direction, there is no longer the mentality of buying more goods than needed to stockpile.
