Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on January 23, 2025 |
According to the leader of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), 2024 will be a special year in the history of coffee, with Vietnamese coffee prices reaching the highest level in the world, especially Robusta coffee prices exceeding 5,000 USD/ton on the London floor. However, the Vietnamese coffee industry is facing many challenges, including climate change, extreme weather and aging coffee trees, reducing productivity and quality.
To improve the situation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has proposed a plan to replant coffee trees in the period of 2021-2025, not only in the 5 Central Highlands provinces but also expanding to other provinces such as Son La, Dien Bien and Binh Phuoc. The goal is to increase the average yield to 3.5 tons of beans/ha and improve bean quality, helping coffee trees adapt to climate change and become more sustainable.
