Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of March 17, 2025 |
At the end of last week, coffee prices in the Central Highlands were traded at around 130,000 - 132,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 - 2,200 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Coffee prices in the domestic Vietnamese market increased following the general trend of the world robusta market.
Favorable weather and rain have returned to Brazil, however, supply is being tightened, causing coffee prices to fluctuate between increasing and decreasing continuously. It is forecasted that coffee prices will continue to stay high tomorrow and increase slightly.
According to experts, the price of this agricultural product is on a downward trend due to favorable weather information in Brazil before the upcoming Robusta coffee harvest and increasing inventories.
Meanwhile, world coffee prices as well as domestic coffee prices in Vietnam have continuously increased since the beginning of the year and set new records due to concerns about tightening global supplies.
Robusta coffee prices rose, supported by slow sales by farmers in Vietnam, the world’s largest robusta producer, traders said. Some farmers may still have 30% to 40% of their stocks in storage, waiting for higher prices.
However, the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (ABIC) predicts that in the coming time, world coffee prices will continue to increase because coffee cultivation in this country has been affected by adverse weather over the past 4 years.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa), coffee output from Vietnam - the world's largest Robusta producer - is forecast to reach 26.5 million bags in the 2024-2025 crop year, down from 27 million bags in the previous crop year.
