Meeting with press agencies in early spring of At Ty 2025

Today, January 16, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard of Quang Tri province held a meeting with press agencies at the beginning of the Spring of At Ty 2025.

In 2024, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard coordinated with press agencies to develop many columns, topics, and plans to widely disseminate the movements and models of the unit in firmly protecting sovereignty and border security, training, combat readiness, building a regular and disciplined training system, good models, and effective methods in mass mobilization, border diplomacy, social security, and the fight against crime....

During the year, the provincial Border Guard mobilized 246 officers and soldiers, 1 ship, and 11 fishing boats to rescue 3 ships/12 crew members in distress at sea, 6 sunken vehicles, and handled 7 fires and 4 storms. Mobilized 1,453 officers and soldiers to help people prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Implement and maintain effective operations of border and border marker self-management teams; boat safety teams; self-management of ports; village and hamlet security and order self-management teams. Organize the program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers" with a total value of more than 3.7 billion VND and successfully organize the conference to review 15 years of twinning of residential clusters on both sides of the border with many pairs of villages.

Coordinated the arrest of 289 cases/335 law violators. Presided over the arrest of 23 cases/67 subjects, coordinated the arrest of 13 cases/29 subjects illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs, seized 100 kg of crystal meth, 48.3 kg of heroin, 3.9 kg of happy water, 77,744 MTTH pills; arrested 100 cases of illegal buying, selling and transporting of goods, seized goods worth about 3.9 billion VND; coordinated the arrest of 1 case/1 subject illegally buying, selling and transporting explosives, seized 35 kg of explosives; presided over and coordinated the arrest of 13 cases/12 subjects illegally buying, selling and transporting firecrackers, seized evidence: 1,129 kg of various types of firecrackers; arrested 67 cases/70 subjects illegally entering and exiting the country...

The activities of the provincial Border Guard have become a source of creative inspiration, creating valuable press works, leaving the public with a beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era. At the meeting, delegates discussed and shared many measures to promote propaganda in the coming time, focusing on building specific programs and plans; thoroughly grasping the Party's resolutions; the daily life of cadres, soldiers and people in the border areas...

Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, highly appreciated the role of the central and local press agencies in coordinating well the information and propaganda work on mass media in the past time, contributing to spreading the good image of the force.
