Guardian is made in the style of classic Metroidvania games like Ori, Castlevania and especially Hollow Knight, but the game still attracts attention with its beautiful hand-drawn graphics and pure Vietnamese storyline.
On the journey to complete the main quest, players will explore legendary places such as Tram Dot Forest, Tan Vien Mountain, Da Trach Lagoon, and Co Loa Citadel.
Players will also meet legendary gods such as Thanh Giong, Son Tinh, Lac Long Quan, these gods are both bosses to test skills and NPCs to help. In addition, players can also receive additional side quests from supporting characters such as Co Tam or Ong Dia.
The latest Demo of Divine Guardian was released at the end of January 2024 and received a lot of feedback from the domestic gaming community. While many opinions expressed their expectation for the game to be released soon and expressed support for the efforts of Vietnamese game developers, the game also received some mixed opinions that the content was not suitable and needed to be edited - similar to the situation that many games with themes of Vietnamese culture, history,... have encountered in the past.
Defeating Boss Thanh Giong in the game is controversial
Currently, the team that released Ve Than is providing a free Demo version on the Steam platform, thereby allowing players to access and have an objective assessment of the product before deciding to "pay". The game is currently attracting attention in the Vietnamese gaming community.
