FLC Group Joint Stock Company has just announced information about the decision of the Hanoi Tax Department regarding tax enforcement due to overdue debts. Accordingly, FLC was forced to stop using invoices to enforce the tax debt and late payment notices of the Hanoi Tax Department, Ha Long City Tax Department, Sam Son - Quang Xuong Regional Tax Department and Quang Binh Provincial Tax Department. For the above notices, the amount of money forced is more than 590.8 billion VND.
In addition, FLC was also forced to pay more than VND 678.48 billion to implement the tax debt notice of the above tax authorities and to implement the notice of land rent payment dated December 6, 2022 of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Management Board.

Previously, FLC was notified by tax authorities of coercive measures due to tax arrears such as deducting money from accounts. In case the amount in the company's account is less than the amount to be enforced, the banks will deduct the remaining amount after deducting the minimum balance. After that, they must continue to monitor and deduct the amount arising in FLC's accounts during the effective period of the decision.
FLC's current business situation and financial health remain a mystery as the company has not disclosed information since the fourth quarter of 2022. After being fined by the Securities Commission in October 2023, FLC explained that it had not yet reached a consensus with the auditor on the audit opinion.
In addition, the company has not yet organized the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Most recently, on January 2, FLC unsuccessfully organized the 2024 extraordinary general meeting of shareholders due to insufficient attendance. This meeting is expected to inform about the restructuring results and business plan for 2024. To date, the stock code FLC and all "family" stocks have been delisted from HOSE and transferred to UPCoM but have also been suspended from trading.
