On the morning of March 7, on Nguyen Van Cu Street (through District 1 and District 5), many flower stalls were set up, making the street even more bustling. This is a street with many universities and shopping centers, and is crowded with people, so vendors choose this street to sell flowers.

Recorded on some streets in Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Trai (District 1), Nguyen Van Cu, Tran Binh Trong (District 5)... Flower selling points are bustling with buyers and sellers, this year's flower species are rich and diverse.

Mr. Khanh Duy and Ms. Thao (Binh Tan District) said that they have been selling flowers online for more than 10 years, but due to economic difficulties, they moved from Binh Tan area to Nguyen Van Cu Street (District 1) every holiday to sell flowers. They set up their stalls on March 6 and will stay on the sidewalk of Nguyen Van Cu Street to sell throughout the 3 days of March 6-7-8.

This year, the price of roses remains unchanged from previous years, both fresh and artificial. Roses cost from 10,000 - 30,000 VND/branch (depending on the type). Customers mainly prefer wax flowers, which cost from 100,000 - 500,000 VND/bunch.

Small bouquets of artificial flowers cost from 30,000 VND/bouquet, suitable for students who want to buy gifts for relatives.

As a "hot trend" gift this year, wool flowers are shaped like funny animals such as pigs, dogs, cats, etc., priced from 30,000 VND/branch. When buying, customers will choose each branch and ask the seller to bundle them, on average each bundle ranges from 50,000 - 200,000 VND.

March 8 is not only an occasion for people to care and compensate for the hardships and disadvantages in life for women, but it is also an opportunity for men to express their care and share with their other half.

Every year, on March 8, Mr. Ngo Van Than (56 years old) also buys a rose to give to his landlady. "I give her a rose twice a year, on March 8 and October 20 to express my gratitude to my second mother," Mr. Than shared.

Many countries around the world set aside March 8 to honor and celebrate the struggle for women’s rights globally. On this day, women receive more attention and respect from the other half of the world.
