Sending workers to work under contracts abroad: A sustainable solution to poverty reduction

In 2024, Phuoc Long district had 68 people introduced by the Provincial Employment Service Center to work in markets such as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, etc., reaching 136% of the plan. With high salaries, after deducting living expenses, each worker has an average surplus of 15 - 30 million VND/month; in particular, some highly skilled workers in the Korean market have sent home to their families from 40 - 60 million VND/month. Thanks to that, most households with LĐĐLVTHĐ have built solid houses and have stable financial resources to invest in building business and service establishments, etc.

In addition to improving the quality of life for themselves and their families, many workers and their families who have members who have gone to work for the Laborers have actively contributed to building welfare projects in the locality. Thanks to that, the transportation system, lighting system and many other welfare projects have also been built, contributing to improving the quality of life; effectively contributing to the poverty reduction work of the locality.

Based on the achieved results, in the coming time, Phuoc Long district will continue to direct specialized agencies to organize extensive consultation to help people clearly understand information about the labor market and authorized recruitment units, and avoid being scammed.
