Tourism "explodes" on September 2nd, localities earn big revenue

Total revenue from tourists in Hanoi is estimated at over 2,180 billion VND.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Tourism, during the National Day holiday from August 31 to September 3, Hanoi is estimated to welcome about 672,000 visitors, an increase of 5% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, international tourists are estimated to welcome more than 58,000 arrivals, up 35.8% over the same period last year, mainly from: India, Korea, China, Japan, Australia, the US, the UK... Domestic tourists are estimated to welcome 614,000 arrivals, up 3.6% over the same period last year. Tourists choosing to relax and travel in tourist areas and destinations around the suburbs of Hanoi tend to increase dramatically.

Total revenue from tourists is estimated at more than VND 2,180 billion, an increase of 8.3% over the same period in 2023.

During the 4-day holiday, the average room occupancy rate of hotels and tourist apartments reached about 61.2%, an increase of 1.7% over the same period in 2023. Some 4-5 star hotels and luxury apartment buildings had quite high room occupancy rates such as: Fraser Suites Hanoi 90%; Pullman Hanoi Hotel 100%, Sheraton Hotel 91.3%, Novotel Thai Ha Hotel 82.3%...

Shopping malls, shopping, entertainment and dining establishments serving tourists all recorded high numbers of visitors and revenue during the 4-day holiday.

Lao Cai province earned 606 billion VND

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province, during the 4-day September 2 holiday, the whole province welcomed about 196,500 visitors. Of which, domestic visitors reached more than 183,000 and international visitors reached more than 13,470 (an increase of 46.4% over the same period last year).

Also during this holiday, the total revenue from tourists in the province reached about 606 billion VND. Of which, revenue from international visitors reached 48 billion VND, domestic visitors reached 558 billion VND.

Notably, the Sapa National Tourist Area has become a “golden destination” bringing in large revenues for Lao Cai. Fansipan Sapa cable car alone welcomed more than 23,950 visitors in the first 3 days of the holiday, Cat Cat tourist area welcomed 20,080 visitors and community tourist sites welcomed over 19,000 visitors.

The occupancy rate of accommodation facilities in Lao Cai province is estimated at over 70%. Sapa town alone has an occupancy rate of about 98% for the 3-star and above segments. The mid-range segment is about 82%. In addition, homestay businesses are about 85%.

Tourists to Thanh Hoa increased by 20.4% over the same period last year.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, during the 4-day September 2 holiday (from August 31 to September 3), tourist areas and spots in the province welcomed 395,700 visitors, an increase of 20.4% over the same period last year.

Sam Son beach tourism city is still an attractive destination with nearly 200,000 visitors. Next is Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area (Ba Thuoc district) with 59,500 visitors; Hai Tien Beach Ecotourism Area (Hoang Hoa district) welcomed 57,600 visitors; Hai Hoa and Bai Dong Beach Ecotourism Area (Nghi Son town) welcomed 47,300 visitors, Thanh Hoa city welcomed 43,600 visitors...

The occupancy rate of accommodation rooms is from 35-37%, especially Pu Luong Community Eco-Tourism Area where the occupancy rate is 100%.

With a large number of tourists coming to visit and relax, Thanh Hoa's total tourism revenue during the holiday reached 870.5 billion VND (an increase of 31.3% over the same period in 2023).

Quang Binh attracts tourists, earning more than 200 billion VND

According to the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, during the 4-day holiday (from August 31 to September 3), the total number of tourists is estimated at 175,000, an increase of 9.4% compared to the 2023 holiday, of which international visitors are about 1,900, an increase of 26.7%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 201.3 billion VND, an increase of 14.4% compared to the 2023 holiday.

The average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments during the holiday reached about 65% (on September 1 and 2 alone, it reached over 90%). Tourist accommodation establishments of 3 stars or equivalent or higher in Dong Hoi City and homestays, farmstays, accommodation establishments with beautiful landscapes, close to nature in Phong Nha area had room occupancy rates of over 75%.

Tourist attractions that attract a lot of visitors include Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Nuoc Mooc Stream, Hava Valley, Ozo Park, experiential tourism products, and nature exploration at Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Dong Chau – Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve, etc.

Khanh Hoa tourism revenue estimated at 756.3 billion

Khanh Hoa tops the list of visitors and tourism revenue in the South Central Coast provinces. The total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation reached 578,219. Of which, 175,218 were overnight guests, with 45,168 international visitors and 130,050 domestic visitors. Revenue is estimated at 756.3 billion.

The average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments is about 70.86%, mainly in tourist areas such as Bai Dai, Doc Let and closed resorts on the islands. The central area of ​​Nha Trang City alone has an average occupancy rate of about 60% or more (mainly focusing on the 3-5 star segment and equivalent).

Binh Dinh estimated revenue of 555 billion VND

Ranked 2nd in the South Central Coast region, the number of tourists to Binh Dinh is estimated at 204,044, up 13% over the same period last year. Revenue from tourists is estimated at 555 billion VND, up 0.8% over the same period in 2023.

The total number of tourist accommodation arrivals is estimated at 96,000, up 0.4% over the same period last year. Room occupancy at tourist accommodation establishments from September 31 to 2, 2024 averaged 75%.

The tourist market flocking to the coastal land of Binh Dinh is mainly domestic tourists from major provinces, cities and tourist centers: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta provinces and the Central Highlands provinces, etc.

Binh Thuan: About 510 billion VND

According to the report of Binh Thuan Department of Tourism, the total number of tourists visiting and staying in the province during the September 2 holiday is about 385,000, 3.3 times higher than in 2023, of which international visitors are about 9,700, with revenue of about 510 billion VND.

During the holidays, the number of guests concentrated on August 31, September 1 and September 2, the average room occupancy rate reached 80 - 95%, in which many establishments reached 100% occupancy.

Domestic tourists to Binh Thuan province mostly come from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, the Southern provinces, some Northern provinces... concentrated in the areas of Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Tuy Phong, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, Phu Quy (Binh Thuan province).

Number of visitors doubled, Phu Yen earned 93 billion VND

For Phu Yen province, the number of tourists coming during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2 did not increase dramatically, reaching 46,500, up 10% over the same period last year; including 520 international visitors. The above number doubled compared to the same period last year.

The total number of guests staying reached 27,700, up 16% over the same period last year; including 380 international guests, up 81% over the same period last year. The average room occupancy rate was about 60%, with some large-scale hotels and hotels near the sea reaching about 80-100%.

The number of visitors to the special national relic Ganh Da Dia, the special national relic Thap Nhan and Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lanh in 4 days reached 14,475. Total revenue from tourists reached 93 billion VND, up 46% over the same period last year, of which accommodation revenue reached 16.6 billion VND, up 39% over the same period last year.

Ninh Thuan estimated revenue of 90 billion VND

In Ninh Thuan, during the holidays, the rainy weather affected tourism, entertainment and recreation activities. However, most visitors booked rooms 1 month in advance. This year, with about 4,706 bedrooms, accommodation facilities reached 90-100% occupancy on August 31 and September 1.

The total number of visitors and vacationers in Ninh Thuan during the September 2 holiday is estimated at 75,000, an increase of 15.4% over the same period last year (International visitors are estimated at 900, an increase of 28.6%), with estimated revenue of 90 billion VND.

The total number of tourists visiting and relaxing during the September 2nd holiday in coastal areas such as Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na... is estimated to reach 70-100%, other accommodation facilities have room occupancy rates of 50-70%.

Ninh Thuan province had predicted a sudden increase in the number of visitors to the area before, but it was still the same as the provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa...

Tourists to Binh Thuan tripled over the same period last year

Tien Giang welcomes more than 50,000 tourists

According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang province, from August 31 to September 3, Tien Giang welcomed 50,450 tourists, an increase of 14.2% over the same period in 2023. Of these, there were 5,150 international visitors, an increase of 9.1% over the same period in 2023.

Tourist attractions in Tien Giang province such as Tan Thanh beach (Go Cong Dong district), Dong Tam snake farm (Chau Thanh district), Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village (Cai Be district), Dong Thap Muoi eco-tourism area (Tan Phuoc district), Tan Phong islet (Cai Lay district), Thoi Son islet (My Tho city, Tien Giang province) ... attract a large number of tourists to visit, have fun and shop.

From August 31 to September 3, the number of tourists visiting Tien Giang province increased 2-3 times compared to normal days.

Ho Chi Minh City tourism revenue reaches nearly 3,000 billion VND

On the occasion of the September 2 holiday this year, the number of international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City increased by 3.2% and domestic visitors increased by 1.2%, helping the city's tourism industry record a 1.7% increase in tourism revenue, reaching nearly VND2,940 billion.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has had quick statistics on the tourism situation in the area during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2.

Specifically, the total number of visitors to tourist and entertainment areas reached about 980,000, an increase of 2% over the same period in 2023. In particular, domestic tourists to Ho Chi Minh City increased by 1.2%, with 425,000 visitors and international visitors increased by 3.2% with 38,800 visitors.

Accommodation establishments recorded a significant increase in the number of guests staying, with approximately 214,630 arrivals and room occupancy reaching 85%, up 6.3% over the same period last year. Tourism revenue was estimated at VND2,940 billion, up 1.7%.
