With the message “Entering the era of national development with books”, the festival takes place from April 17 to 20 with many activities such as organizing the exhibition of books by theme; mobile library cars and book experience activities, serving many different genres of books; displaying, introducing and selling books, pictures, STEM products, etc.

At the Festival, sponsors donated bookcases to 9 schools in the province; BOOKAS Joint Stock Company donated 1,000 audiobooks to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

It is known that 20 agencies, units and enterprises inside and outside the province have participated in accompanying and sponsoring the activities of the Festival with a total budget of 129 million VND.

The festival aims to affirm the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality; encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, create a favorable reading environment; form reading habits in families, schools, agencies and organizations; contribute to building a learning society.

Organizing the Festival's activities is associated with the implementation of political tasks and major holidays of the year in the locality, towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
