Rach Mieu 2 Bridge expected to close on April 30

Only about 25m left, Rach Mieu 2 bridge will close.

The bridge section on the route has completed 4/6 bridges including: Xoai Hot bridge, My Tho bridge, Tam Son bridge and Ba Lai bridge, the remaining 2 bridges are under construction: Rach Mieu 2 main bridge and Song Ma bridge, of which Song Ma bridge will be completed in June 2025.

Main bridge section - Rach Mieu 2 bridge, P19 and P20 towers have been completed. Bridge deck has completed 12/14 main deck blocks; construction of 13/14 girder blocks is underway. 104/112 stay cable bundles have been installed.

500 workers and 83 technical staff at the construction site competed to achieve 45 days and nights of speeding up construction progress.

The road under construction on the entire 14km route is about 80% unloaded, and the crushed stone layer is being constructed and asphalt concrete is being spread in each segment.

The main cable-stayed bridge is expected to be completed on April 30, 2025. All 5 bridges on the route will be completed on June 30, 2025, and the approach roads will be basically completed. Strive to complete the entire project on September 2, 2025.

Director of My Thuan Project Management Board Tran Van Thi said: "The unit has launched an emulation movement, achieving the achievement of "45 days and nights to speed up the construction progress of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Investment and Construction Project". Every day at the construction site, the units seriously deploy 3 shifts, 4 teams with a total of about 30 construction heads, 150 construction equipment heads, 500 workers and 83 technical staff. All are determined to speed up the progress further, aiming to close the main bridge of Rach Mieu 2 bridge on April 30 this year; which is a premise for completing the project on September 2 according to the direction of the Prime Minister" - Mr. Tran Van Thi emphasized.
