According to a representative of BenThanh Tourist - the unit that launched this tourism product, the free walking tour is designed with the desire to introduce to Vietnamese and international tourists the unique historical and cultural values and typical architectural works of Ho Chi Minh City.
Free Walking Tour is held from 9:30 am to 1 pm daily, for all Vietnamese and foreign tourists who want to explore Ho Chi Minh City with every step.
With this tour, the tour guide will pick up guests at the departure point, BenThanh Tourist Center (No. 3 - 5 Nguyen Hue, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) and begin the journey of discovery through famous attractions such as: Nguyen Hue walking street; Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters; Ho Chi Minh City Symphony - Music and Ballet Theater;
City Post Office; historical site of Reunification Palace and ending with a free lunch with many delicious specialties at Ben Thanh Market.
Throughout the tour, BenThanh Tourist guides will bring visitors an unforgettable trip, where each step reveals something new and each alleyway contains unique and interesting stories.
History lovers, food enthusiasts or simply curious about local culture, who enjoy seeing the streets and ancient and modern architecture of a vibrant and colorful city center will always find what they expect when participating in the Ho Chi Minh City Free Walking Tour.
"We hope that through a tour through the city's famous landmarks, visitors will have beautiful impressions and a deeper understanding of Ho Chi Minh City, one of the most attractive cities in Southeast Asia," said a representative of BenThanh Tourist.
Tourists are advised to register for the tour before 4:00 p.m. the day before departure. The program is completely free and includes an English-speaking tour guide.
In 2017, the Free Walking Tours project - a free tourism model was also first launched by Vietravel, helping tourists "slow down" to be able to see, feel and experience the life of the people in a "local" style on each route they pass.
Tourists register for tours every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and tour guides guide them to participate in specific activities such as going to the market, learning about street food, shopping... and listening to historical and cultural stories.
After a period of hiatus, the business just relaunched Free Walking Tours last year with a variety of products.
Vietravel representative said that the tour is still being maintained, domestic and foreign tourists can register via the company's hotline or representative offices in localities.
