Dong Trieu: Speed up project site clearance progress

In recent times, Dong Trieu Town has had many key projects implemented and constructed. Many constructions, residential areas, etc. have been established, creating a new face for the locality. In order for projects to be implemented on schedule and put into operation soon, site clearance work is always the top priority of the town.

Dong Trieu Town has accelerated the progress of plant inventory and project architecture.

In 2024, the town will carry out site clearance for 24 projects, including 16 new projects in 2024; 8 projects transferred from 2023. To improve the effectiveness of site clearance for projects in the area, the town has strengthened state management of land, planning, and construction to detect, prevent, and promptly handle cases of land encroachment; improper land use or illegal construction. At the same time, enhance the role and responsibility of the People's Committee at the commune level in determining the origin of land as well as propagating and mobilizing people to comply with the State's policies.

Mr. Luu Truong Son, Director of the Town Land Fund Development Center, said: Determining the land acquisition work is a premise for implementing projects and works. Therefore, from the beginning of the year, the Town Land Acquisition Steering Committee and the Town People's Committee directed the establishment of a Working Group; developed a detailed plan for land acquisition. At the same time, focusing on coordination between specialized agencies and communes and wards; mobilizing the participation of the entire political system and organizations to participate in propaganda and mobilization work for individuals and organizations with land and assets within the land acquisition boundary to use them for the right purposes. Thereby, creating consensus among the people on compensation and support for land acquisition for projects and implementing the town's policy on donating land and assets on land to complete the project according to the set plan.

Every month, the Town's Steering Committee for Land Acquisition and Clearance meets to evaluate the results of the implementation of land acquisition and clearance work; every week, the Town People's Committee listens to reports on the results and gives directions, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles. Up to now, the town is implementing land acquisition and clearance for 17 projects, of which 7 projects are completing the investment preparation process and procedures.

The GPMB working group mobilized households to agree to hand over the site for the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 333.

The investment project to build provincial road 327 has a total length of more than 10km, a reclaimed area of more than 30ha, affecting 542 individual households and 1 organization in 3 communes of Binh Duong, An Sinh and Binh Khe. Implementing the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people check", all work from announcing the planning, counting, developing compensation plans, and collecting public opinions are public, transparent, implemented accurately, fairly and promptly. Up to this point, the town has basically completed the counting of the entire route; at the same time, determining the origin of the land, building compensation and resettlement land prices completed in August as a basis for publicizing the plan, propagating and disbursing money, striving to complete the site clearance work before October 30, 2024.

According to the leader of An Sinh commune, the commune has organized propaganda and dialogue with the people, specifically answering their questions; providing more information about the State's policies and regulations on compensation and site clearance. The people all agreed with the staff of the Land Fund Development Center to conduct the inventory and agreed to be ready to hand over the site.

Along with the investment project to build provincial road 327, the town is implementing land acquisition and clearance for 16 other projects. Among them are key projects such as: Project of the 2nd Infantry Regiment Barracks (Division 395); Project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 333 in Yen Tho ward, Hoang Que and Yen Duc commune; Project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 345 in An Sinh commune...

With active propaganda, creating consensus among the people, along with the determination of the political system to speed up progress, early handover of construction sites for projects will contribute to completing infrastructure, attracting investment, promoting socio-economic development in Dong Trieu area.
