Weak cash flow, VN-Index loses 1,270 point mark

NDO - The last trading session of the year, December 31, the market was immersed in red under increasing selling pressure for most of the trading time, stocks of many insurance, securities, raw materials, banking groups... plummeted, many large codes decreased sharply such as CTG, VCB, BID, HDB, STB... causing VN-Index to decrease by 5.24 points at the end of the session, down to 1,266.78 points.


Market liquidity this session decreased compared to the previous session and was at a low level, with the total trading volume of the three floors reaching more than 563.65 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 12,873.08 billion.

Foreign investors net bought slightly, worth more than 22.71 billion VND, focusing on codes MCH (more than 50 billion VND), MBS (more than 7 billion VND), ABI (more than 3 billion VND), HPP (more than 2 billion VND), OIL (more than 1 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net sales in this session included ACV (over 28 billion VND), SHS (over 6 billion VND), TNG (over 5 billion VND), QNS (over 1 billion VND), NTP (over 1 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased slightly compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 9,570.64 billion.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 2.96 points include: FPT, ACB, TCB, MBB, BCM, OCB, VPI, REE, GEE, HVN.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 5.97 points included: CTG, VCB, BID, HDB, STB, VHM, BVH, PLX, GVR, SSI.

In terms of industry groups, energy stocks increased by 0.93% this session, mainly from codes BSR, POS, TVD... Declining stocks included codes PVS, PVD, TMB, CST, PVC...

The group of raw material stocks leaned towards red, down 0.75%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, KSV, VGC, DCM, DPM, MSR, HSG, BMP... Increasing codes included DGC, VCS, NTP, PHR, PTB...

Retail stocks also performed quite negatively, down 0.42%, mainly from PLX, OIL, DGW, SAS, VFG, PET, HTM, HAX... On the contrary, the stocks that increased included PNJ, FRT, CTF...

Banking stocks also had negative developments, down 0.71%, mainly from VCB, BID, CTG, VPB, HDB, LPB, STB, VIB... Some stocks increased including TCB, MBB, ACB, SSB, OCB...

Similarly, the group of securities stocks was also in red, with a decrease of 0.85%, mainly from codes SSI, VCI, HCM, VND, MBS, VIX, FTS, SHS, CTS, VDS, ORS... Some codes increased such as DSC, TVS, AAS, VFS...

Software stocks increased sharply (+1.29%), mainly from two codes FPT and CMG.

Real estate stocks were differentiated, down slightly by 0.02%, mainly from VHM, KDH, KBC, NVL, IDC, PDR, DXG, TCH, HDG... Increasing direction included BCM, SSH, VPI, SIP, NLG, KSF, KOS, SJS...

* The Vietnamese stock market index was in red for most of the trading session today, VNXALL-Index closed down 4.70 points (-0.22%), at 2,120.37 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 460.17 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 11,692.69 billion. In the whole market, there were 154 stocks increasing in price, 97 stocks remaining unchanged and 217 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 227.43 points, down 0.71 points (-0.31%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 40.41 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND638.67 billion. In the whole market, 76 stocks increased in price, 69 stocks remained unchanged and 80 stocks decreased in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 2.48 points (-0.52%) to 478.05 points. Trading volume reached over 17.37 million units, equivalent to over VND388.38 billion. In the whole market, there were 6 stocks increasing in price, 8 stocks remaining unchanged and 16 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 95.06 points, up 0.06 points (+0.06%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 42.71 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 674.13 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 159 stocks increasing in price, 101 stocks remaining unchanged and 124 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 5.24 points (-0.41%) to 1,266.78 points. Liquidity reached over 480.53 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND11,560.28 billion. The entire floor had 155 stocks increasing, 79 stocks remaining unchanged and 254 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 2.60 points (-0.19%) to 1,344.75 points. Liquidity reached more than 163.55 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND5,523.21. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 7 stocks increasing, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 18 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VIX (over 14.71 million units), MBB (over 11.24 million units), HPG (over 10.24 million units), TCB (over 9.40 million units), STB (over 9.38 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are TMT (+6.96%), MDG (+6.90%), L10 (+6.81%), HMC (+6.69%), HRC (+6.36%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were TNC (-7.00%), YEG (-7.00%), KHP (-6.97%), FCM (-6.91%), SFC (-6.89%).

* Today's derivatives market had 135,860 contracts traded, worth more than VND 18,312.49 billion.
