The leaders and delegates visited and presented gifts to Mr. Dao Van Thanh (born in 1927, a former soldier in Mai Xa village, Hiep Luc commune); Mr. Bui Duc Hung (born in 1932, a war invalid in Van Hoi village, Van Hoi commune) and Ms. Pham Thi Nu (born in 1950, daughter of martyr Pham Quang Phu in Tam Cuu village, Tan Quang commune).
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu asked about the health of the veterans and their relatives and expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and merits of those who directly contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory.
Comrade Le Van Hieu wished the veterans and their families good health, continued dedication, and contribution to the development of their homeland; and at the same time presented 3 gifts worth 2.5 million VND each from the province to the families.
Representatives of the families expressed their excitement when the delegation visited, gave gifts and expressed their gratitude for the attention and gratitude of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee and government.
As of April 10, in Ninh Giang district, there are still 22 people who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign still alive. Visiting and presenting gifts to typical policy beneficiaries and families is one of the meaningful activities of Hai Duong province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
