Focus resources on investing in tourism infrastructure

As the "center" of attraction for tourists in Binh Thuan, the coastal city of Phan Thiet is always interested in investing in infrastructure to serve local tourism development.

Currently, large projects in Phan Thiet city such as Thuong Chanh Park with an area of about 33,700 ^m2 are continuing to be implemented. This project includes investment items: Parking lot, camping, service area, entertainment, traffic roads... It is expected that the entire project will be completed by the end of 2023. For the project of Repairing and upgrading the drainage system (including investment in repairing the drainage system and sidewalks) is also being implemented on many roads in the wards and communes: Xuan An, Binh Hung, Duc Long, Duc Thang, Lac Dao, Phu Hai, Duc Nghia, Phu Thuy, Thanh Hai, Phu Tai, Phong Nam and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.

In order to serve tourists and people during their visit to Phan Thiet market area as well as surrounding attractions, the City People's Committee has approved the investment project to build new public toilets in the project to build the Ca Ty river embankment, from Le Hong Phong bridge to Tran Hung Dao bridge, Trung Trac street side. It is known that the southern embankment of Ca Ty river, more than 330 meters long, is being promoted by the functional unit of Phan Thiet city to complete the construction design approval procedures, thereby being able to start construction in the second half of this year. Meanwhile, the project to renovate Van Thanh lake - Phu Tai ward, including the treatment and landscaping of the lake, investment in traffic routes around the lake, parking lots, park renovation, etc., is currently continuing to be implemented, expected to be completed in the middle of the fourth quarter of 2023.

This year, Phan Thiet city is also considering upgrading Doi Duong Park (including a 2,000 ^m2 service area). It is expected that after completing the project, in the fourth quarter of 2023, it will collect opinions from the community and relevant units for approval. Regarding the renovation of Phan Thiet Water Tower Park cluster, the technical economic report is also being appraised and construction will be promoted soon... In 2024, the locality will also carry out the project of Repairing and upgrading Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street and Huynh Thuc Khang Street (from Hoang Ngoc Tourist Area to Lang Chai intersection). Accordingly, this project has a route length of about 5.1 km, including: Road expansion, investment in rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, paving sidewalks and installing lighting systems. Along with that, the centralized wastewater treatment system of Mui Ne National Tourist Area is currently submitting a feasibility study report to the Department of Construction, and construction may begin next year.

In recent times, the local postal and telecommunications network infrastructure has continued to receive investment attention from businesses in a modern direction and the quality of services has been increasingly improved. Thanks to that, communication is guaranteed to be smooth, not only meeting the needs of socio-economic development but also serving tourism activities in the province in general and Phan Thiet city in particular. Currently, 3G and 4G network infrastructure covers almost all key tourist areas to serve the communication needs of tourists, while the 5G mobile network has been tested by telecommunications businesses at 2 more stations in Phan Thiet city.

Along with the positive effects when the expressways passing through the province were officially put into use, the focus on infrastructure investment has contributed to creating a spacious appearance and increasing the attraction of tourists to Phan Thiet tourism. Especially from now until the end of this year, in the coastal tourist city, many activities will take place in response to the National Tourism Year 2023 - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence, first of all the Cau Ngu Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival...
