The Engineering Team is ready to go...

As of 9:00 p.m. on March 29, the Engineering Team of Brigade 229, Engineering Corps had completed all preparations and was ready to move to Myanmar to carry out search and rescue missions for collapsed structures.

Previously, on March 29, after receiving orders from the Commander of the Engineering Corps , Brigade 229 deployed agencies and units to prepare all aspects, ready to depart to carry out the mission.

In addition to checking equipment and vehicles, Brigade 229 has proactively improved its organization, organized meetings, assigned tasks, educated and motivated its soldiers. The comrades in the Engineering Team sent to perform the mission have actively prepared. They have studied and thoroughly grasped the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 1706/TH-TTCĐ dated March 29, 2025 of the Propaganda Department/TCCT on conducting ideological work in organizing forces to participate in humanitarian assistance and earthquake disaster relief in Myanmar.

The 229th Brigade's rescue team has 30 members (including 6 officers and 24 professional soldiers). These are soldiers with a firm political stance, good professional qualifications, good health; some comrades have been trained in English, have participated in rescue; and meet the political standards according to Circular No. 263 of the Ministry of National Defense .

The team is equipped with many modern, compact, mobile, specialized engineering equipment and weapons for rescue work, such as: DESA sound detection equipment, radar for sound, image, hydraulics, PO-900 handheld rubble search equipment...) and materials to ensure living conditions.

At 7:30 p.m. the same day, Colonel Ho Quang Tu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Engineering Corps, and officers from the Corps' functional agencies inspected the Rescue Team of Brigade 229 in all aspects.

Concluding the inspection, Colonel Ho Quang Tu acknowledged and commended the unit and departments for their thorough and comprehensive preparations, building high determination among the troops.

He said that this is a difficult and arduous task but has great political significance, contributing to spreading the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the international arena. Therefore, he hopes that the whole team will continue to perfect the preparation work, be determined, unite internally and internationally, successfully complete the assigned tasks, and brighten the flag "Opening the way to victory" of the Engineer Corps in the new period.
