This morning, December 16, at the Quang Tri Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, activities were held to display, introduce and promote local traditional culture; display and introduce cuisine and guide tourism at a typical community tourism destination within the framework of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri Province in 2024.

Accordingly, 16 teams from provinces and cities displayed handcrafted products, musical instruments, traditional costumes of ethnic groups, images of daily life, production and labor; tourism products, typical local destinations, OCOP products associated with local tourism.
In addition, the teams introduced and explained the processing process, the meaning of each dish and presented the finished products for the judges to evaluate and score. Among them, there were traditional trays of food completed and displayed at booths with many specialties such as: hill chicken, five-color sticky rice, black sticky rice cake, Tay cake, grilled meat, vegetables, wild bamboo shoots...
Artists from mass art troupes from provinces and cities also performed traditional folk songs, dances, and music with unique characteristics, creating a joyful festival atmosphere.
The clear weather, along with unique cultural spaces, rich and diverse cuisine and costumes, has attracted a large number of locals and tourists to learn, experience, enjoy and join in the unique festival atmosphere of ethnic groups across the country.

Mr. Le Van Du, a resident of Dong Ha City, visited the booth displaying local specialties and shared: “I have not had the opportunity to travel to many provinces, especially to areas where ethnic minorities live, so through the cultural space exhibition, watching artisans prepare dishes, perform musical instruments, dance, sing, and weave brocade right in Quang Tri... I see that each ethnic group has its own unique cultural identity and quite unique costumes. Through this, I understand more about the richness and diversity of Vietnamese ethnic groups.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Phan Tan Khai - a member of the Quang Nam Province Mass Art Troupe, who came to Quang Tri for the first time - also expressed his impression of the festival: "The atmosphere of the festival held in Quang Tri is very joyful, full of solidarity between ethnic groups from different regions. Through the festival, we have the opportunity to exchange and learn about how to preserve and promote tangible and intangible cultural values as well as develop tourism from ethnic communities."

With the theme “Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups: Equality, solidarity, respect, integration and development for a peaceful world”, the festival aims to honor the good traditional cultural values, preserve and promote the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups.
